The Terroir
The full ripeness of grapes is the most important feature in the quality of wine.
The aging is the result of many different physiological and biochemical phenomena whose strong performance and whose intensity depend such on environmental conditions as on the type of soil.
It is therefore the mix of these two particular factors, the so-called terroir, which strongly feature any grape produced in each wine-growing area, and thus the wine you get from.
Our terroir acts then as a "quality seal", which links our wine to this soil giving the grapes a typical aroma, taste and body that nowherelse in the Franciacorta region you can find : the high hills, the slopes, the south-west exposure, the climate and the wide temperature range between day and night, the steady breeze (which gives the name to the villa and the property), the clayey soil, they all play an important role in making this terroir definitely unique.
Finally there's the man with his love, enthusiasm and respect for nature ( our people work mostly manually, along artisan techniques ) that has kept through the time the valuable legacy of the forefathers' experience and traditions, turning the making wine into a meticulous care of all different grape varieties grown on this hills ( every grape variety is selected and harvested separately ).
